OPEN SKIRM

Pick up and play. Open Skirm is our simpler, faster format — pistol primaries are welcome, magazines are unrestricted, and game modes stay easy to read. Great for casual players, regulars between Classic events, and newcomers stepping into CQB for the first time.

New rules · From 1 July 2026

From 1 July 2026, Rush B is taking a clear new direction. Regular skirms focus on recreational CQB, fair fights, tactical teamplay and respectful behavior. Competitive speedsoft gear and playstyles move to dedicated Speed Edition skirms — keep an eye on the calendar if that's your thing.

What Is An Open Skirm?

Open Skirms are our most accessible format. You bring any CQB-legal replica (rifle or pistol primary), you get briefed, you play. Mixed scenarios, mixed loadouts, mixed experience levels — that's the point. Fast pace, short rounds, lots of action.

Gear Policy

Open Skirm is our recreational CQB format — welcoming, accessible, mixed loadouts. Most players won't notice anything different from before; the gear list below just draws a clear line between recreational airsoft and competitive speedsoft. If high-pace jerseys and HPA tank-in-grip builds are your thing, we run dedicated Speed Edition skirms for exactly that.

Allowed

  • AEG, GBBR, HPA-powered replicas (standard builds)
  • Rifle, pistol, shotgun or SMG as primary
  • No restrictions on magazines
  • Plate carriers, chest rigs, tactical loadouts
  • Casual clothing, airsoft / tactical attire, regular sportswear
  • Target-shooting belts (within reason)

Not Allowed

  • Tank-in-grip / ESG grip HPA builds
  • Competitive sports jerseys (speedsoft, paintball, cycling, motocross — flashy colours, numbers, team names)
  • Speedsoft-style speed belts
  • Trigger spam, excessive prefire leading to 'forced trades'
  • Continuous fire with pistols (including mag adapters)
No-Speedsoft Policy

No tank grips / ESG builds, speed belts, competitive sports jerseys (speedsoft, paintball, cycling, motocross), trigger spam or overshooting. Fast play and tactical rushing remain allowed. Looking for the high-pace experience? Join our dedicated Speed Edition skirms.

Tolerated With Restrictions

Pistol Rifle-Mag Adapters

Adapter rigs that let you run rifle mags in a pistol are tolerated on Open Skirms — but they're easy to abuse. Here's how to use them and stay welcome.

Do

  • Controlled, aimed shots
  • Max 3 BBs per continuous fire
  • Clear pause required before firing again
  • Use it as a pistol — not a mini-SMG

Don't

  • No excessive prefire to force trades
  • No trigger spam
  • No continuous fire
  • If marshalls warn you twice, you're benched
